Casa Olivi, in Le Marche -Italy

100% love for this 18th century Casa Olivi country home in the heart of Marches in Italy!
The farm is renovated completely by the owners with help from the Swiss architects Markus Wespi and Jerom de Meuron.
I really like every combination which is made in this great holiday home: rough and streamlined walls, modern and traditional elements, luxury and simplicity furniture and kitchen.
The villa is decorated with design furniture from i.a. Cassina, Vitra and Philippe Stark!
The villa can be rented……..

…..but maybe we should save some money first.

Love brick walls

25 years ago when we bought our first house there was one thing I really disliked about it: the brick wall in the living room.
As fast as I could I painted the entire wall white. Now, 25 years and 2 houses later, I really would like to have such a cozy element in our house. For exemple in the living room our the bedroom I think such a wall can create someting very special. Especially the brick walls that are slightly weathered, give a great effect for a tough and industrial interior.

But to break down our tightly plastered walls? I am not sure if that really is what I want!

Would you???
